Meet the Minds Behind the Great Books

Ever wanted to get to know the great books
of the western world?

Our purpose at CLT is to encourage everyone to read great books. What the late Mortimer Adler called “the Great Conversation” is open to all; every time we pick up a classic work of literature, philosophy, science, or history, we are listening in on the table talk of a banquet that has been going on for millennia.

Inspired by the recent Higher Ed Summit recently held in Annapolis and the 100 Days of Dante project, CLT is announcing a livestream seminar series, exploring the lives, writings, and ideas of the men and women on our Author Bank. Starting on Thursday, October 14th, CLT will be hosting weekly seminars on all these influential authors and their work, led by scholars from colleges and universities across the country. Register here to join us on this journey through history!

In omnibus requiem quæsivi, et nusquam inveni nisi in angulo cum libro.
I searched everywhere for peace, and never found it except in a corner with a book.
